Delirium REVIEW:

Delirium (Delirium #1) by Lauren Oliver

honestly I didn't like this book at first, it took me like days before I decided to pick it up again, it's one of those books which are boring you to death at the start but you can't them put down when you're in the middle.

Delirium is about a place were they consider love as a disease  that when you turn 18 you undergo a procedure were they remove your ability to love, Lena the main character is psyched to get her surgery which is months away, until she falls in love.

3.5 coffees out of 5
as I said it wasn't really a page turner.. and by the way THE END WAS A TOTAL CLIFF HANGER, I think I stopped breathing for a minute... I was like NO, NO, NO, NO! yeah.. good times.. good times.. lol

my apologies btw, I'm just an amateur in book reviewing (this is actually my first) haha :p
so if any of you are nice enough to leave me advice in the comments thank you :)
~review for Pandemonium soon :)

June Releases

Keeping Secrets by Alyson Noel
 June 5th 2012 by St. Martin's Press

on goodreads:
We usually tell our best friends everything. Our crushes, our embarrassing stories, our secrets—but sometimes there are truths so deep and dark that we can't tell anyone. Not our parents, not our sisters...not even our best friends. Some secrets are so unspeakable that we keep them safely locked away so no one will ever discover them.

But what happens when they become more than you can handle alone? In these two magnificent novels, two girls can't tell anyone about the terrible burdens they carry. But as they're about to learn, it's not our secrets that matter most—but those who still love us once they learn the truth.

Reunited by Hilary Weisman Graham
June 12th 2012 by Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers

on goodreads:
1 Concert
2000 Miles
3 Ex-Best Friends

Alice, Summer, and Tiernan are ex-best friends.

Back in middle school, the three girls were inseparable. They were also the number one fans of the rock band Level3.

But when the band broke up, so did their friendship. Summer ran with the popular crowd, Tiernan was a rebellious wild-child, and Alice spent high school with her nose buried in books.

Now, just as the girls are about to graduate, Level3 announces a one-time-only reunion show.

Even though the concert’s 2000 miles away, Alice buys three tickets on impulse. And as it turns out, Summer and Tiernan have their own reasons for wanting to get out of town. Good thing Alice’s graduation gift (a pea-green 1976 VW camper van known as the Pea Pod) is just the vehicle to get them there.

But on the long drive cross-country, the girls hit more than a few bumps in the road. Will their friendship get an encore or is the show really over?

This is Not a Test by Courtney Summers
 June 19th 2012 by St. Martin's Griffin

on goodreads:
It’s the end of the world. Six students have taken cover in Cortege High but shelter is little comfort when the dead outside won’t stop pounding on the doors. One bite is all it takes to kill a person and bring them back as a monstrous version of their former self. To Sloane Price, that doesn’t sound so bad. Six months ago, her world collapsed and since then, she’s failed to find a reason to keep going. Now seems like the perfect time to give up. As Sloane eagerly waits for the barricades to fall, she’s forced to witness the apocalypse through the eyes of five people who actually wantto live. But as the days crawl by, the motivations for survival change in startling ways and soon the group’s fate is determined less and less by what’s happening outside and more and more by the unpredictable and violent bids for life—and death—inside. When everything is gone, what do you hold on to?

Glitch by Heather Anastasiu
 August 7th, 2012

from goodreads:
In the Community, there is no more pain or war. Implanted computer chips have wiped humanity clean of destructive emotions, and thoughts are replaced by a feed from the Link network.

When Zoe starts to malfunction (or “glitch”), she suddenly begins having her own thoughts, feelings, and identity. Any anomalies must be immediately reported and repaired, but Zoe has a secret so dark it will mean certain deactivation if she is caught: her glitches have given her uncontrollable telekinetic powers.

As Zoe struggles to control her abilities and stay hidden, she meets other glitchers including Max, who can disguise his appearance, and Adrien, who has visions of the future. Both boys introduce Zoe to feelings that are entirely new. Together, this growing band of glitchers must find a way to free themselves from the controlling hands of the Community before they’re caught and deactivated, or worse.

In this action-packed debut, Glitch begins an exciting new young adult trilogy.
